The series of classes is led by a certified midwife Arina Pavļukova, certified midwife Kristīne Zvirgzda-Zvirgzdiņa and neonatologist Dr. Jeļena Liepa — specialists with clinical experience working in a maternity hospital, providing daily care for pregnant women, women in labour, newborns, and postpartum mothers.
Our work is based on real clinical experience in the maternity ward and newborn care. In our daily practice, we see both physiological births and situations where medical assistance is required, so the lecture content is professionally grounded and based on practical work.
These are classes where you can ask questions, share your feelings, and receive professional yet warm and caring support.
Each class includes up to 6 couples. A couple can attend the full series (5 classes) or choose individual classes separately.
Class prices are indicated for 2 people. If more than 2 people wish to participate, please indicate this when registering. An additional fee of €30 applies for each extra person.

Pregnancy development by month — what happens to the mother and baby
In this lecture, we explain step by step how pregnancy develops and what changes take place in a woman’s body from the first weeks until childbirth.
We will talk in a simple, understandable, and practical way — so you know what is normal, what to expect in the coming months, and when it is necessary to consult a doctor or midwife.
In the lecture, you will learn:
✔ how the baby develops at each stage of pregnancy
✔ what physical and emotional changes the mother experiences
✔ what sensations and symptoms are normal
✔ what examinations and tests are usually performed during pregnancy
✔ how the body gradually prepares for childbirth
The lecture is suitable for expectant mothers at any stage of pregnancy, especially up to weeks 30–32, when there is still time for calm preparation.
The online lectures are led by a certified midwife Arina Pavļukova
