Vītola klīnika doctors attend the 35th ESGE Congress in Kraków

Vītola klīnika doctors attended the 35th ESGE Congress in Kraków – the largest congress on gynaecological endoscopy in Europe, bringing together leading specialists from around the world.

The congress was attended by Vītola klīnika doctors Dr. Juris Vītols, Dr. Sanda Reinika, Dr. Jurģis Vitols and gynaecology resident Dr. Anna Niedra.

This year, the congress placed considerable emphasis on various gynaecological conditions, their diagnosis, and treatment. As every year, uterine fibroids and pelvic organ prolapse were widely discussed. Particular attention was also given to caesarean scar niche and isthmocele, as well as, of course, to endometriosis – a field especially close to our hearts.

At congresses like this, it is important not only to attend, but also to actively participate in the exchange of knowledge and experience. In the poster presentation section, Dr. Anna Niedra presented a clinical case, while Dr. Jurģis Vitols gave a lecture on endometriosis today, what the future may hold for patients with this condition, and how artificial intelligence can support treatment.
