Conference “Myoma, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis”

A two-day professional development conference, “Myoma, pelvic organ prolapse, endometriosis – surgical indications, limits and myths”, has concluded, bringing together specialists in the field who shared their experience and discussed current issues in gynaecological surgery.

These were two valuable and experience-rich days, during which particular attention was paid both to modern surgical treatment options and to the indications and limitations that specialists encounter in their daily practice.

The conference programme combined live surgery demonstrations performed by Dr. Antons Babuškins, Dr. Elīna Sedleniece and Dr. Jurģis Vītols as well as lectures and professional discussions. Particular attention was devoted to treatment options for uterine fibroids, pelvic organ prolapse and endometriosis, while also discussing surgical indications and limits and dispelling myths commonly encountered in clinical practice.

Professional development events like this are an important part of the advancement of the medical field, promoting the exchange of knowledge and practical experience between specialists.
