Colorectal Surgeon,
proctologist
Specializes in abdominal and colorectal surgery. He performs a wide range of surgeries, from standard colorectal procedures to highly specific and rare reconstructive operations. He has experience performing laparoscopic colectomies with the creation of a bowel (pouch) reservoir. A unique competence of the doctor is his certification in ultrasound examination methods, making him the only surgeon in the country professionally performing colorectal sonography. He carries out complex and rare reconstructive surgeries. Additionally, he uses botulinum toxin injections to treat various proctological conditions, providing patients with modern, individualized therapy.

Dr. Kaspars Snipe is a surgeon with extensive international experience and in-depth knowledge in pelvic floor and coloproctology. He has refined his professional skills at leading medical centers in Europe – in Germany, Berlin (Charité Hospital), and Sweden, at Malmö University’s Pelvic Floor Unit. He has mastered the specialized 3D transrectal ultrasound (3D TRUS) methodology in Sweden and Italy, as well as laser surgery techniques in Germany.
This experience has allowed Dr. Kaspars Snipe to introduce unique diagnostic and surgical methods in Latvia, which are otherwise only available in highly specialized centers abroad.

He is a member of the Latvian Association of Surgeons, the Latvian Society of Coloproctology, the European Society of Coloproctology, and the Latvian Ultrasound Society.
